Our client is a Manchester-based construction company that specialises in building residential and commercial properties.
They identified a need for more energy-efficient housing and have spent considerable time and money researching and developing new building methods that incorporate the latest technologies in sustainable materials and energy systems.
To develop this new building method, the company had to overcome several technical challenges. Including identifying the most effective materials to use, developing a unique building design, and testing and refining their energy systems to ensure they were cost-effective and efficient.
How We Helped
Our client got in touch with Goldhill Consulting’s services to help them identify and claim R&D tax relief for their innovative projects. We worked closely with the company’s key technical experts to conduct Technical Interviews and with the finance department to identify and collate the eligible financial costs.
This enabled us to complete the Technical Report for HMRC and to amend the company’s returns to incorporate the R&D tax relief figures. After this was reviewed and approved, we submitted the claim to HMRC.
Our R&D tax relief claim secured c.£720,000 in tax relief enabling the company to reinvest in future projects.
